Corporate Office Building

This corporate office turns over a new ‘leaf’ by using sustainable design and building methods.

As a Manufacturer’s Representative in the HVAC and refrigeration industry, McAllister Group’s Obsessive Constructive new corporate office building needed to provide a functional work environment for it’s employees. Teaming with Tobin Dudley Starr, SCOPE was sought after to provide expertise in sustainability elements and LEED requirements for this 10,540 SF building.

Constructed on a brownfield site between two existing buildings, the building achieved USGBC LEED Silver Certification and includes architectural features that maximize daylighting opportunities, as well as integrates operable windows that increase tenant comfort levels. Our scope of work included:

  • Maintaining materials records and verifying their recycled content
  • Verifying and documenting a percentage of locally harvested materials used in the building’s construction
  • Ensuring clear-air practices were followed by the builder
  • Documenting the use of recycling dumpsters on site
  • Recording the use of all low VOC coating products
  • Verifying that only FSC wood products were used in construction
  • Managing team coordination between disciplines to ensure sustainable design goals were met
