A renewed laboratory space sparks innovative and sustainable solutions for Clariant.

Clariant Corporation, one of the world’s leading specialty chemical companies has sought the expertise of the architects at SCOPE and the engineers at Perigon for nearly 15 years. This team is responsible for the design to up-fit and remodel nearly all of the ~168,000 SF of office space and laboratories spread out over five buildings for the Clariant Corporation Campus in Charlotte NC. This work has provided newly reconfigured laboratories and office space required for it’s expanded operations and increase in employee numbers.

As part of the interior office and laboratory renovations, the existing office area was reconfigured to include new private offices and a state-of the-art conference room. The existing research laboratories were renovated to include new cabinetry, better lighting and room for new technology equipment. This new larger, open layout has multiple lab benches that provide amble work space, as well as wall-mounted cabinets to aid with circulation patterns and storage concerns.
