Warehouse Expansion

North Carolina’s premium commercial baked-goods manufacturer requires warehouse expansion for their growing business.

DePalo Bakery is a family owned and operated wholesale USDA facility that provides baked goods to regional stores in North Carolina. Most notably, they supply a significant portion of the baked goods sold through the regional grocery store chain, Harris Teeter throughout the greater Charlotte metro region. Looking to expand their existing facility, DePalo Bakery turned to SCOPE to provide comprehensive architectural services.

To maximize outcomes, SCOPE created an expansion that doubled the Bakery’s production capacity, enhanced workplace safety, and reduced production costs. In order to accomplish everything without disrupting the bakery’s on-going production, SCOPE worked directly with stakeholders performing feasibility studies and planning exercises. This extra planning resulted in increased operational efficiency and smooth execution of the facility’s 11,000 SF expansion. Furthermore it also nearly doubled their size and capacity, and increased their global and national competitiveness.
